You just received a battery alert. What does that mean?

Fully charged automotive batteries should measure at 12.6 volts or above.

Here are the thresholds for battery events that Bouncie will detect.
at 12 volts the app will show 'Low Battery'
at 11.5 volts the app will show 'Critical Battery' and Bouncie will shut down to protect the battery.

What do you need to do?

The alert is an indication the battery level is low and to provide warning in order to avoid possible issues with the vehicle starting. Not all alerts indicate a bad battery however, having the battery tested is generally recommended.

When will the alert clear?

If the battery is sufficiently charged and the battery is properly holding the charge, the app alert will normally clear when the vehicle is first parked after the issue has been corrected.

Bouncie measures the battery when the vehicle is parked. While the vehicle is being driven, the alternator is responsible for providing DC power, and the battery voltage is not measured by Bouncie.

My battery is charged but Bouncie is still showing an issue.

If you are concerned the battery status has not changed please let us know!
