What is Idle Time?
Idle time is when a vehicle is turned on but it is not moving, meaning it is idling in one location for a specific time period.
There are two types of idle time notifications that can be setup in the app.
Idle Event: When your vehicle is idling in one place exceeding the time you set.
Idle Event: When your vehicle is idling in one place exceeding the time you set.
You can set the threshold for a minimum of 5 minutes to a maximum of 180 minutes.
An example of this is when you want to be notified that a work vehicle is on for longer than it should be in one location, or your child's car has been turned on in one spot for too long.
Idle Total: When the total idle time of a trip is over the time you set.
Idle Total: When the total idle time of a trip is over the time you set.
This type of alert would appear at the end of a trip after the vehicle is turned off. You can set this for idling from 0 minutes to 180 minutes during any given trip.
Creating Idle Notifications
Select Notification Settings from the Options Menu [•••], then choose Idle Time.
Tap on either Idle Event or Idle Time depending on what type of alert you want to receive.
Adjust the threshold time based on your needs. You can either slide the bubble to the desired time on the slider bar, or adjust the time by using the + and - icons.
Tap Save in the top right.
If you want to set up notifications for both idle types, you can repeat this process for the other type.
