Diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) are how your vehicle communicates with you when something goes wrong. Some warning codes are displayed as an overall indicator that there is an error or failure, such as a "Check Engine" light, meaning there are multiple reasons why it can come on.

If your engine records an error or a failure, Bouncie recognizes the underlying diagnostic code and can send that information to your app if you have notifications enabled.

Managing Diagnostic Trouble Code Notifications

Select Notification Settings from the Options Menu [•••], then choose Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

If you receive an alert, you can find the code and what it means by tapping the engine icon on the vehicle card.

Once the issue is fixed, the vehicle will stop sending the code to Bouncie, and after a few trips, it will clear itself from the app.

Bouncie cannot clear the codes from the vehicle.
