The Bouncie smart device connects to the AT&T and T-Mobile cellular network to transmit vehicle and driving data to our servers. That data is pushed to the Bouncie app as soon as our servers receive the data. All data is included in the monthly access charge, and there are no limits on data.

Occasionally, the Bouncie device will have difficulty establishing a cell connection. When that occurs, Bouncie will store the data and report it as soon as a connection is established (See: Delayed Driving Data).

We have all come to expect reliable cell coverage. Unfortunately, the device is often installed in a location in the vehicle which is just not ideal for cell communications. Bouncie has a small antenna and is normally installed near metal, wiring harnesses, steering columns, etc. 

When the vehicle is parked, the end-of-trip event is normally sent. If for any reason there is a cell connection issue, Bouncie will make a few attempts to report the data then stop trying in order to protect the vehicle battery. Once the vehicle is driven again, Bouncie will re-attempt to report data.
