Bouncie records the time of your trips in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and the app converts the data to your local time based on the time zone of your phone.
But what if you travel to a different time zone? Your trips won't appear in the app for the time zone of the vehicle but it will show trip data in the time zone set by your phone.
For example, let's say you are using Bouncie to monitor your daughter's vehicle and you need to travel from Dallas to Atlanta for business. When your daughter arrives home at 10:00pm, the trip data will be sent to the app and show she arrived home at 11:00pm.
When a trip is first viewed, the app will assign the current time zone to that trip and display the data accordingly.
We are aware that in some situations this can cause confusion. In other situations, such as traveling with your vehicle across time zones this method of recording the trip is beneficial.
If the app seems to be "stuck" in a different time zone, try completely closing the app and restarting your phone. This should fix the problem!
